Interested in joining a Jesus study?
One:
GOD’S WILDS
You’re called to live a revolutionary life in God’s Wilds — a place of complete, constant, and utter surrender to the Lord. Doing so starts with answering a very simple question asked by Jesus: Who do you say I am?
TWO:
CONTROVERSY AND CONSEQUENCE
Life in God’s Wilds is marked by controversy and consequence patterned after the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. The controversy and consequence are shaped daily by your measure, sacrifice, and focus and are defined by loving the Lord with all your heart, strength, mind, and soul; and by loving your neighbor as yourself.
THREE:
FIVE PRIORITIES OF MAN
To help you navigate God’s Wilds well, you must hold fast and advance with five priorities — kept in strict order and with Jesus at the center of each. These include your:
1. Faith
2. Marriage or Singleness
3. Family
4. Community
5. Career and Interests
FOUR:
PITFALLS AND TRIPWIRES
There are powers and principalities that do NOT want you in God’s Wilds. You must constantly be on the lookout for these invisible yet highly lethal traps:
1. Comfort
2. Distraction
3. Fear
4. Isolation
5. Self Deception
FIVE:
VALUABLE PROVISIONS
Whether you know it or not you have been gifted — as every man has — with priceless provisions that can change the trajectory of eternity. These include your:
1. Time
2. Talent
3. Treasures
4. Testimony
SIX:
THE KING’S COMPASS
One of the greatest resources you have at your disposal is Holy Scripture as it is the divinely inspired and infallible Word of God that reveals who God is, who we are, and helps us navigate God’s Wilds. In the Jesus Study we read The Life and Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.
SEVEN:
THE BONFIRE
The Jesus Study is like a bonfire where men gather regularly with other adventurers to gather provision, warmth, companionship, safety, and Light. The best thing about a bonfire is when its embers are scooped up and that Light is taken into the darkness to start more bonfires.
EIGHT:
CONNECT. READ. DISCUSS. PRAY.
The Jesus Study is not complicated: Show up, connect, read Scripture, discuss it, and pray. All in one hour, once a week in person or online.
NINE:
FREE RESOURCE
Reading about Jesus is powerful and life-transforming. Our only source material in The Jesus Study is Scripture. We are thankful for Plusnothing.org who provides free The Life and Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth books. Order and consider donating to them so this amazing book falls into the hands of as many people as possible.
TEN:
Who do you say I am?
We hope your answer is — or becomes: Jesus, the one I fell in love with, follow, and lead with.
